The moons from our Solar System in Stained Glass
If you hadn’t noticed we love all things sci - fi and space. So we decided to make a piece of glass from the perspective of every planets moon (except ours) in a section we called moonview mondays on Instagram.
Protues - Neptune
Neptune with its 16 moons had so many to choose from, so we went with Protues with a sneaky view of Tritus aswell. Sadly we only have one picture of the glass we made and its been sold since!
Umbrial - Uranus
There are 28 moons on Uranus (insert joke here) called the literary moons, due to being named after shakespearian characters. We have a sneaky couple of other moons in the view aswell.
once again we only sadly have one photo of the glass.
Saturn - Lapetus
A view from Lapetus, Saturns furthest moon. We used wire on that firey yellow and red glass to create the rings.
Jupiter - Ganymede
A view of the Gaseous surface of Jupiter using textured yellow glass with Europa peaking over the corner
Mars - Deimos
A view from Deimos looking at Phobos passing by Mars. The Red and yellow swirled glass felt like the right choice for the Red planet.
Venus - No Moon
Since the discovery of signs of bacterial life on Venus we’ve been talking a lot about a making a Venus window, Moonless as the planet is! This is our view from the surface of the toxic desert planet. Well toxic to us at least.
Mercury - Imaginary Moon
Now you’ll have to use your imagination with us. We didn’t want to leave Mercury out. Mercury doesn’t have any moons, probably down to that damn sun of ours dragging them into its fiery self. So we are going to say this is a temporary moon once had
